Betsson rises as strong World Cup-driven trading outweighs profit slump
BUZZ-Betsson rises as strong World Cup-driven trading outweighs profit slump ** Shares in the Swedish online gaming firm Betsson BETSb.ST rise 4.4% after the group reported record quarterly revenue and a strong start to the third quarter, boosted by football World Cup activity
** Q2 revenue rose 2% on the year to a record €310.2 million ($355.15 million), while active customers jumped 32% to 1.83 million
** Betsson said average daily revenue in Q3 through July 13 was 13.7% higher than the average daily revenue for Q3 2025, helped by the World Cup
** Q2 operating profit (EBIT) fell 39% year-on-year to €42.2 million, hurt by higher gaming taxes, payment-provider costs and a higher share of regulated-market revenue, while B2B revenue remained below last year's level due to weaker activity from one of its larger customers, the group added
